Fornelli offers over 200 luxury units encompassing residents, studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units finished by renowned designer, Marguerite Petitte. Each unit features Upperclassman furniture by the University Loft Company, upscale appliances, granite countertops and a millennial technology backbone with internet hookups in every unit, and complimentary expanded basic cable TV. The spectacular views of the city are in a class of their own - allowing views of Millennium Park, and Lake Michigan.
Fornelli is located at the corner of Washington Street and Michigan Avenue with luxury residences within the 1927 crown jewel of Chicago’s art deco period, the historic Pittsfield building. One of Chicago’s finest 1920’s-era skyscrapers, the 38-story Pittsfield Building’s extravagant Art Deco and Gothic Revival ornamentation remains pristine, even after more than 80 years. The city’s tallest structure at the time of completion, the Pittsfield building’s magnificent setback towers are emblematic of that high- spirited architectural era.
The centerpiece of the Pittsfield is its elegant five-story atrium lobby which functions like an interior plaza. This soaring space is finished with marble with bronze grille work and has a coffered wood ceiling that was hand painted in Europe.
The lobby also is home to the Pittsfield Cafe’, a real find where you can pick up your morning cappuccino before you step outside your front door. The interior arcade also includes a convenience store and a Chase bank.
Fornelli is steps away from 30 universities and equidistant to all the great cultural Institutions, shopping and entertainment hotspots of downtown Chicago - From Millennium Park to the historic Magnificent Mile, to the Art Institute of Chicago, to the House of Blues. Special events within a two-block radius include Lollapalooza, Blues fest, and the Taste of Chicago.
Additionally, Fornelli Hall's convenient location is just a short bus or cab ride away from Chicago’s signature locations such as, Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park, the Lincoln Park Zoo, Soldier Field, Pitchfork Music Fest, the North Avenue Beach and the Charter One Pavillion on Northerly Island. (Transportation via CTA’s bus and train services is only one half block away.)
